Our researchers attract over $13 million annual income for research, Australian Aid initiatives and consultancy work.  Our achievements include:

  • establishing high-level partnerships with the Queensland Government, Australian Departments of Health and Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute
  • winning funding from prestigious, competitive schemes such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the National Health and Medical Research Council and the Australian Research Council
  • supervising over 100 Research Higher Degree students drawn from around the world.
