Pathways to healthy hearts after cancer for all
The project, funded by the National Heart Foundation of Australia, is examining cardio-oncological care from multiple perspectives to understand the factors that influence cardiovascular outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians with cancer.
The project includes an epidemiological analysis of a large, linked national dataset; a mixed methods study exploring the experiences of patients and health professions regarding communication, care and decision-making regarding cardiovascular risk and cancer treatment; developing a shared research agenda for the field, and co-designing education resources for patients and health practitioners.
