Rachael completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) at the University of Newcastle in 2009 and is currently undertaking a Master of Public Health, due for completion in 2022. Her interests include supporting systems improvement, though application of high-quality data and processes, to achieve population health outcomes.

Rachael has worked within the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Team for a number of years providing a wide range of research and administrative support to projects across the team. She is currently Project Manager for the Centre of Research Excellence in Targeted Approaches to Improve Cancer Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians (TACTICS), and the Supporting Our Carers Study (SoCS).

Prior to this, Rachael has held roles in community, public health, and research settings, and has experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, State and Federal government departments, non-government organisations and retail associations.
