Research interest: The impact of climate change on the mental health of people with sensory disabilities
For her PhD, Patricia wishes to explore the experiences of people with sensory disabilities impacted by climate change, and the consequences to their mental health and capacity to adapt.
Researcher biography
Patricia is a social worker of five years with experience in community mental health and prison mental health services. Prior to her completing a Master of Social Work, Patricia worked in the environment, development, and humanitarian sectors in Australia and overseas, including as a UN Volunteer for 10 years. Patricia also has a Master of International and Community Development and Certificate in Climate Change Adaptation. Patricia continues to be a passionate advocate for protecting the natural environment and exploring the dynamics between the human and non-human worlds.
