Alison Karsh is a Canadian citizen, originally from Toronto and has been in Brisbane for just over a year. In the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Program at the University of Queensland, Alison is the Project Support Officer on the What Matters 2 Youth project and the Health & Wellbeing of Youth in Out-of-Home Care Project, and is the Executive Support Officer to Professor Gail Garvey.

Prior to this role, Alison had a successful career as an Educator in French Immersion, and has worked collaboratively with the First Nations, Métis, and Indigenous communities in Canada.

Alison attended the University of Toronto where she attained a Bachelor in Archaeology and Anthropology of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, and Masters in Science of Education.
