Alison Karsh is a Canadian citizen, originally from Toronto. In the First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research Program at the University of Queensland, Alison is currently the Executive Assistant to Professor Gail Garvey.

Prior to this role, Alison had a successful career as an Educator in French Immersion, and has worked collaboratively with the First Nations, Métis, and Indigenous communities in Canada.

Alison attended the University of Toronto where she attained a Bachelor in Archaeology and Anthropology of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, and Masters in Science of Education.
