Craig Carson holds the position of Senior Community Engagement Officer. As a proud Aboriginal Wakka Wakka man, he feels that his role is one that can empower, encourage, and inform the community about what researchers at The University of Queensland are doing that will benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, and communities.

Craig has 25 years’ experience and has held several positions in the community working with both non-Indigenous and Indigenous people, to bridge the gap, provide community guidance, and develop meaningful ways for people to strive for better outcomes.
