SPH, Poche and CHSR HDR Conference
The HDR Conference 2023 will showcase the work of our Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates from across the School of Public Health (SPH), the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health and the Centre for Health Services Research (CHSR), and from Honours students of the Bachelor of Health Sciences. Both academics and students from those schools/centres are strongly encouraged to attend the conference.
Publishing Awards and a Photo Competition will also be hosted during the Conference.
Publishing Awards
The Publishing Awards aim to recognise the academic publishing successes of the School of Public Health (SPH), the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, and the Centre for Health Services Research (CHSR) HDR students. Registrations are open to all current MPhil and PhD Candidates who have published peer-reviewed articles in the last 12 months for full-time enrolled students, and 24 months for part-time enrolled students. Only articles directly related to a Candidate’s PhD will be considered. If you would like some additional information on how to format your contribution statement, please email Lisa McHugh.
Photo Competition
The theme of the Photo Competition is “Capturing Wellness: HDR Perspectives”. The aim is to showcase your creative work by capturing in an image/photo what a “healthy future” means to you. All the photos will be displayed on the day of the event where attendees can vote for their favourite photograph and the People’s choice of first and second places can be determined. Venue map
The SPH, Poche and CHSR HDR Conference 2023 will be held at The University of Queensland's St Lucia campus in Brisbane. The map shows the location of the conference venue, Prentice Building (42), and how to get there from the main bus and ferry terminals at St Lucia. The map also shows indications of some cafes available on campus. We remind students that morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will be provided during the event.
