Researcher biography
Isabel Meciar is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Centre of Research Excellence on Achieving the Tobacco Endgame. She graduated from her Master of Public Health majoring in Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs from The University of Queensland in 2022. Isabel’s research focuses on understanding how tobacco control policies influence the demand for, and availability of illicit tobacco in Australia, including the patterns and networks of criminal activity involved.
