The Sedentary Behaviour Research group, led by Associate Professor Genevieve Healy, investigates sitting time in adults. Specifically, how much we sit, how it impacts on our health, how we measure it, how it relates to other health behaviours, and how we intervene to acceptably and (cost)-effectively reduce prolonged sitting time in key settings and populations. This work is achieved through an extensive network of collaborations – both nationally and internationally – and with both academic and industry partners.
