Ms Lauren Seden grew up on Larrakia country (Darwin) and has connections to the Kaurareg/Dhoeybaw peoples of the Torres Strait and the Kaanju (Coen) and Wuthati (Shelbourne Bay) communities of Cape York.

Lauren has a Bachelor of Communications and joined the FNCWR team in 2021, where she provides communications-related support to researchers across the program. This includes creating designs, social media content and helping to develop and edit websites.

Lauren has recently joined the UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduate program. Her key area of interest is in the use of digital media as a tool to enhance and promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health messages and services, empowering individuals and communities to make healthier choices.
