Researcher biography

Davoud is an epidemiologist with interest in evidence-based diseases prevention and control. His research examines the effectiveness, acceptability, and cost-effectiveness of diseases prevention and control programs and strategies. Davoud's PhD project was on developing successful community-based models of care for the elimination of hepatitis C virus as a public health threat in Australia. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has experience teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in public health areas. Davoud has worked for more than 10 years as a primary care provider in rural and urban areas and a diseases prevention and control programs manager at a district health system in Iran.
