Life for people living with HIV has changed remarkably over the last twenty years with the availability and increasing efficacy of treatment, and more recently increasing investment and interest in research towards a cure for HIV. HIV Futures is a
series of national cross-sectional surveys of the health and well-being of people living with HIV in Australia. Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health since 1997, the most recent survey, HIV Futures 8, has just finished data collection in mid-2016. This seminar will provide an overview of the changing landscape for HIV in Australia over the last 20 years and highlight the contribution of HIV Futures to enhancing the health and well-being of people living with HIV in Australia.
