Cancer Prevention Research Centre

The overarching goal of the Cancer Prevention Research Centre (CPRC)'s research program is to build research capacity for understanding and influencing health behaviours related to chronic disease prevention and management, particularly physical activity, sedentary behaviour and diet, and through them, weight control. The research program comprises of two primary research streams, Behavioural Epidemiology and Health Behaviour Interventions, with considerable cross-talk between them.

Queensland Alcohol and Drug Research and Education Centre (QADREC)

The Queensland Alcohol and Drug Research and Education Centre (QADREC) is a leader in alcohol and drug research and training, and contributes to the world’s best practice in the field. Addiction Studies courses are delivered through the School’s Health Studies program. QADREC aims for internationally-recognised excellence in teaching and research, particularly to the understanding of factors with the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.
