The First Nations Cancer and Wellbeing Research team attended the 2026 World Indigenous Cancer Confrence from 21-25 April 2026. The Conference was held in Auckland New Zealand and was attended by over 750 delegates from across the globe.
Over 3 days our 14 team delegates delivered over 15 presentations. Professor Gail Garvey AM handed over the official Conference Boomerang in a beautiful opening ceremony involving many elders from the Maori Community in New Zealand.
The conference was held across 3 days with presentations in 6 rooms held every 15 minutes. The opportunity for engagement, building networks and community made the conference a joyous collaborative event.
